Bookmarklets are a great way to add functionality without writing a full-blown browser extension. They should work in all the major browsers (even Opera which I love).
I have created simple bookmarklets to adjust screensize. It works when only one tab is open, but I can check the responsiveness of my design quickly.

Hi, I'm Dave Broschinsky — founder of Usable Patterns, and a UX leader with 20+ years of experience designing complex enterprise systems that don’t just look good — they work for everyone.
I specialize in usability, accessibility, and design systems for web-based SaaS platforms, particularly in industries like procurement, finance, and healthcare. My mission is to help organizations move beyond surface-level compliance and build truly inclusive, intuitive digital experiences.
At Usable Patterns, I bring together deep accessibility knowledge (WCAG 2.2, EAA 2025, VPAT/ACR strategy), practical design thinking, and a proven ability to scale UX maturity — whether that means reducing accessibility violations by 98%, leading international design teams, or standing up design systems that support hundreds of modules and millions in revenue.
If you're struggling with inaccessible workflows, inconsistent design practices, or just need to realign your product with what users actually need — let's fix that together.
